Not Forgotten created quite a stir at the just-completed Slamdance Film Festival. All the showings were sold out with lines wrapped around the theater, and the screenings ended with thunderous ovations.
The Daily Variety joins The Hollywood Reporter in according the picture rave reviews. It seems that while there's a fair amount of division within our industry these days, there's a clear unity when it comes to Not Forgotten. :) Here's a sample from Variety:

The Daily Variety joins The Hollywood Reporter in according the picture rave reviews. It seems that while there's a fair amount of division within our industry these days, there's a clear unity when it comes to Not Forgotten. :) Here's a sample from Variety:
'... Not Forgotten satisfies as a solidly crafted and persuasively acted thriller.... Helmer and co-scripter Dror Soref adroitly doles out bits and pieces of Jack's violent past to ratchet up suspense...'And from The Hollywood Reporter:
'Not Forgotten reminds you of a paperback you pick up at the airport just before a long flight where the cover art promises a pulp-ish combination of suspense, murder and some nonsense about deviltry and a Mexican red light district. But the story turns out to be so engrossing you wish the flight were longer. The cast sparkles - especially Simon Baker and Paz Vega.'
'Not Forgotten is a neatly packaged suspense drama that takes full advantage of atmospheric cinematography by Steven Bernstein, a Latin-infused score by Mark Isham and Cindy O'Connor, and strange flashbacks from the past woven into the modern-day crisis by editor Martin Hunter.'It has been very exciting to screen the film for a 'civilian' audience for the first time. Here's a sample of the audience reaction as posted on the official Slamdance website:
'This film is beyond memorable. Images and emotions inspired by the intense cinematic journey linger in the mind long after the credits have finished. A complex tale of revenge and revelation, complimented by vivid performances and stunning visuals.... In this film we are woven into a world where the lines between sacred and profane are hauntingly blurred.'
'Fantastic Movie! I loved it! Simon Baker and Paz Vega give excellent performances. I was sitting on the edge of my seat during the whole film and was shocked by such an intense ending.'Below are the links to the reviews in their entirety.
