Anchor Bay/Overture Films acquires U.S. distribution
Anchor Bay/ Overture Films acquired US distribution rights to Not Forgotten, a suspense thriller co-written and directed by Dror Soref, starring Simon Baker and Paz Vega. The film will open theatrically in Los Angeles on May 15th in Hollywood's Mann Chinese theater and Van Nuys' Mann Plant 16, as well as other selected Southwestern markets.
An advanced opening will take place in Austin, TX on May 1 (Landmark's Dobie theater).
Anchor Bay and Overture Films are newly owned divisions of Starz Media. Recent releases include The Visitor (for which Richard Jenkins was nominated for an Academy Award), Righteous Kill (Robert De Niro, Al Pacino), and Last Chance Harvey (Dustin Hoffman, Emma Thompson).
Not Forgotten's acquisition comes at the heels of the Slamdance Film Festival, where the film garnered rave reviews by both Hollywood trade publications, The Hollywood Reporter and Variety (please visit website for details.)
